Louis Wild
Media Composer

Louis Wild is a versatile composer and producer based in the North East of England, known for his emotionally resonant and stylistically diverse scores. With a background that blends classical, electronic, and contemporary influences, Louis brings a cinematic sensibility and fresh sonic identity to every project he works on.

A graduate of Newcastle University with first-class honours in music and a specialism in film scoring, Louis has composed for award-winning short films, advertisements, museum installations, and radio. His recent credits include scoring SWINE—winner of a Royal Television Society award—alongside tracks published by Alibi Music, which have achieved TV placements internationally, on channels including CBS True Crime. He is also a recipient of professional support from We Make Culture’s Next Steps talent development programme.

Louis’s early recognition came as a finalist in the ORA Singers Young Composer Competition, judged by Stephen Fry and John Rutter. Beyond his work for screen, he is a founding member of Nauta (available on streaming services), a Newcastle-based jazz collective with original music available on streaming services. The group’s improvisational approach and genre-blending style continue to inform his compositional voice. As a performer, Louis has played at iconic venues such as The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, for prestigious events including the MOBO Awards and The Mercury Prize fringe.
